“I have all night,” He slowly sat up to his full height. “Though I should be heading back to my own place as well. It was a pleasure to meet you—my dear,” Slade paused between the words, and glanced at her- leaving an obvious open place where he would be inserting her name.
She knew what he wanted, but she wasn’t that naive.
“Doctor,” She said with a soft, secret smile. “And likewise, it was a pleasure to meet you too.” Paying the bartender, as well as leaving a nice tip, she rummaged in her bag for her car keys. The rain wasn’t as bad as it was a few hours ago, but it was still pretty strong.
